Macintosh Rules! PCs Suck!
Macintosh Rules! PCs Suck!
by , 4:00 PM EDT, August 1st, 2000
As Apple continues to introduce computers that make Wintel machines look like that pair of emergency underwear in the back of your dresser, the debate has again heated up regarding which computer platform is better. In order to get a clear, definite answer, ZDTV has posted a poll asking the simple question, "Is the Mac better than the PC?"
Now, we are relatively certain that we know how you feel on the matter, but you should head over to the ZDTV site and sing your opinion from the mountain tops for the rest of the world to hear. To be fair, we encourage you to vote once and only once.
So even though we have a hunch what the results will be, go place your vote.

Blue Troll Using a Mac Mini
"PCs rules"????
1. You need to learn how to speak proper English
2. There's a reason macs are more expensive. It's because they're BETTER and aren't a pile of crappy cheap bucket of bolts.
3. I'm glad PCs are the majority because this means 99% of viruses and spyware are targeted to PCs, not macs. With my mac I can surf the internet without worrying about all that crap.
4. Applescript and Mac OS's overall structure is much more robust and easier to use.
5. Macs have been around longer than PCs. PCs are just crappy imitations of Macs. Especially Windows Vista. It's Microsoft's biggest failure.
6. Microsoft has always been imitating other companies' innovational products. First they made a crappy imitation of the Macintosh, then the mouse, now an especially crappy imitation of the iPod.
7. People spend 95% of their time trying to "fix" their PCs when they get "Unknown errors", "Win32.DLL cannot be found", "Cannot read disk source", etc. Rather than getting results.
8. I'm not saying Macs don't have problems. About 98% of the time my Mac works flawlessly. The other 2% when my mac does have a problem it reboots all by itself and takes care of the problem for me. No cryptic error messages, no annoying unknown errors, it just moves on.
I love my Mac too, but the problem with so many Mac owners is that they tout their machine's superior capabilities way too much. If people would just stop bragging and give PC users a chance to explor Macs (and most importantly Mac OS X) alone with a Mac in peace and quiet without all the bragging crud, I guarantee there'd be way more "converts."
If you've ever used a Mac, you'd know that a Mac isn't a "gaydar" device. Sure, lots of [seemingly] metrosexual people work at the Apple Stores. Who cares? Did it ever occur to anyone that women use them? What about professional photo, music, video, and print media personel? Is someone saying they're all gay? That's just illogical and stupid. And obviously, lots of gay people must use Windows PC's, so the point is beyond irrelevant - it backfires. People who say such crap need to spend a few minutes with a Mac and overcome their biggoted and illogical views.
