Pascal Beaujeant has ported a native Java application to OS X, and claims it was a very simple process. NIH, a scientific application, now runs natively under OS X Beta. More importantly, Mr. Beaujeant said the porting process was remarkably easy. According to Mr. Beaujeant:

I'm very enjoy to annouce the porting (so simple) on Mac OS X of a fantastic scientific program called NIH Image and new released ImageJ.

This program run natively on Java and was recompiled on MacOS X Beta. I send you some screenshots of the program and the Xtools (XWindows) running on MacOS X. The compiler 'cc' is also very easy to import from darwin project into the MacOS X beta.
