More TV Mac Madness: New Season Of The WB's Angel Features iBook

by , 11:00 AM EDT, October 4th, 2000

Today, we have added a new editor's position to The Mac Observer, that of TV Editor. Just kidding folks, but Tuesday was rife with two things, TV shows with "Angel" in the name, and TV shows with Apple products featured in them. In this case, the twain meet in the form of the WB's Angel and Fox's Dark Angel. We have already covered Dark Angel in another report, but we wanted to tell you about the prominent use of a Graphite iBook SE in Angel.

Cordelia Chase, played by Charisma Carpenter, used the iBook in her perusal of the Internet in Tuesday's episode of Angel. The iBook is a new addition to the show, whose creator Joss Whedon usually uses Macintosh computers for his characters. Mr. Whedon's other show, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, features a new PowerBook that is used by Buffy sidekick Willow.

The Mac Observer Spin:

Hey, we just love to see Macs on TV, especially on popular shows in the hands of popular characters. It's hard to buy exposure like that. In the quest to bring new users to the platform, exposure is a big part of the equation if you will pardon the mixed metaphor.
