Steve Jobs' MACWORLD SF Keynote To Be Webcast

Apple has officially announced that Steve Jobs's Keynote presentation for MACWORLD San Francisco will be Webcast and broadcast via satellite. MACWORLD SF is the first of the two yearly trade shows for all things Macintosh. The company has also officially announced some other MACWORLD participation. According to Apple:

Apple® will participate in a range of activities at MACWORLD Expo San Francisco, including:

Keynote — Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO
When: Tuesday, January 9, 9 a.m. PST
Where: Moscone Convention Center, South Hall in the Esplanade Ballroom

The keynote presentation will be available via satellite:
Telstar 5/Transponder 11
Orbital slot: 97 degrees west
Downlink Frequency: 11929 MHz
Polarity: Vertical down

Galaxy 3R, Transponder 4C
Orbital slot: 95 degrees west
Downlink Frequency: 3780 MHz
Polarity: Vertical down

Keynote Webcast:
Apple will provide live streaming of the MACWORLD Expo keynote utilizing QuickTime™, Apple's standards-based technology for live and on-demand audio and video streaming. The live webcast will begin at 9 a.m. PST on Tuesday, January 9, at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf01/. The QuickTime player is available free for Macintosh® and Windows users at www.apple.com/quicktime.

Apple Conference Participation:
Representatives from Apple will present at a number of workshops throughout the conference. Please consult the MACWORLD Expo program for details.

Apple Booth:
Apple's products and technologies will be featured at Apple's booth, #1217, and throughout the show floor.

The Mac Observer will be offering live coverage of the keynote from the show floor, in addition to other reports. You can find more information on the event at the Expo Web site.

The Mac Observer Spin:

All eyes will be on the show this year, perhaps more than any previous year. Mac users, analysts, and the industry want to know what Apple will do next in light of their current financial difficulties. It should be a great show and an exciting keynote.
