Screen Capture Program Offers OS 9.1 Compatibility

St. Clair Software announces the release of the Public Beta Version of Screen Catcher 2.2b1. New features include it's compatibly with Mac OS 9.1 as well as offering supports for more
file formats. According to St. Clair Software:

This beta release leverages the capabilities of Quicktime 4 to capture, open, and save images in PICT, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, Photoshop, SGI, MacPaint,TGA, and Quicktime formats. It also corrects compatibility problems with Mac OS 9.1, Carbon applications, and Netscape 6.

Screen Catcher is a full-featured screen capture utility that offers a "Catch-All" feature that automatically scrolls windows to catch their entire contents.

Screen Catcher 2.2b1 is available now for a download trial. You can find the download and more information at the St. Clair Software site. The non-beta versions of Screen Catcher are also available for US$25 at the St. Clair Software site.

Screen Catcher's new beta version updates the application's ability to take snapshots of screen images, using Quick Time 4, and save them as image files. In addition to PICT, GIF, or JPEG files, the application has added TIFF, BMP, PNG, Photoshop, SGI, MacPaint,TGA, and Quicktime formats. It also allows images to be captured to the clipboard, the printer, or to Screen Catcher's own windows, where they can manipulated to change the color palette or reduce the number of colors in the image before copying, printing, or saving.
