Contest - Forget Flower Power, Win An "American Flag" iMac (With Pic)

Observer Bilboe MacGuppy from 1010TV.com, a site specialized in streaming video, sent us a note about a contest they are running where contestants can win a painted iMac. Not content with a Ruby iMac, 1010TV.com painted it to have the US flag! This is the process he used to paint the unit:
- Create a stencil of design and make a reverse pattern.
- Wrap your favorite iMac in that damn sticky Saran Wrap and use the stencil to mark and cut away the part you want painted. We used a small hobby air brush like those used for painting models.
- It's best to cover a little at a time until you get the effect you are looking for.
- Make sure your toy is covered in the wrap as paint does not work on ram.
As for the contest itself, you have to send your movie to 1010TV.com.
- Send us your movie clip less than 3 minutes in length with titles and credits.
- We will showcase it on "It's U On The Web".
- Viewers can vote for their favorite movie.
- Winner will be determined by viewers' vote.
- Winner will receive a new Captain Amer-iMac-a for Fourth of July.
- Entries must be received by June 15, 2001.
- Winner will be announced on July 4, 2001.
- We accept tapes in 8mm, VHS and DV, and every entry must be accompanied with a self-addressed prepaid mailer.
