Vincent Jalby has update his note pad replacement application, iNotePad, to version 1.5. iNotePad provides users with the ability to "lock" certain notes as well as offering the option to use strong encryption to keep information secure. The latest version is Carbonized to run natively under Mac OS X. According to Mr. Jalby:

New in this version:

  • Carbon version for Mac OS X.
  • "Padlock" button to lock notes.
  • Automatic backup.
  • Encryption of the database.
  • BlowFish encryption (optional downloadable plug-in).
  • Drag and drop reordering of notes and folders.
  • Support for multiple data files.
  • Improved iPublish
  • New interface closier to Mac OS X interface.

iNotePad is the definitive alternative to Apple's NotePad. It has much more features but it keeps simplicity and ease of use of Apple's Note Pad. It can store styled text notes, save them as text file or clipping, print them,ƒ It can encrypt any note, and use alarm/reminder.

With iPublish, you can publish your note(s) on the Internet with one mouse click!

iNotePad is available for US$14. You can find more information at Mr. Jalby's Web site.
