Attendees of this week's MACWORLD Expo will be offered a first look at a new line of audio products from Griffin Technology. The PowerWave and PowerMate USB devices will offer Mac users new options for USB based control and recording of audio. According to Griffin:

Griffin Technology, Inc. will demo two new audio products at MacWold New York this week. The products represent a new genre of computer audio products. The PowerWave is a professional quality USB audio recording and playback adapter with integrated digital amplifier. The PowerMate is a unique USB volume controller for your computer's audio output. Both products will be demonstrated at MacWorld Expo NY, July 18-20 at booth 273.

The PowerMate universal audio controller is a unique USB device that can control the volume of your computer and your audio applications. Not only is it capable of controlling the sound volume on your computer, but it also supports soft power on and off and can also be used as a universal input device and game controller. The PowerMate has a programmable button that can support every conceivable task from muting your audio output, to marking your in and out points in iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, After Effects, etc., to replacing your missing power button, and it also supports your favorite games as unique game controller.

The PowerMate has a beautiful polished aluminum finish and an amazing feel. The brilliant blue LEDs give it a floating futuristic appearance. And the glowing base dims and brightens to reflect the volume level of your computer. The PowerMate also includes a pulsating base when your computer is asleep and adjustable brightness level of the glowing base.

The PowerWave USB audio adapter is a new genre of computer peripheral.
