MWSF - One Less Reason to Hate Microsoft - Windows Media Player for OS X

Imagine our surprise while cruising the show floor and seeing Windows Media Player being shown in Microsoft's OS X area. Last we checked, when dealing with a particularly nasty Microsoft-specifc media file, there was only a version for OS 9. But sure enough, when we stopped by Microsoft's Mactopia page, we spotted a "Windows Media Player for Mac. New for Mac OS X!" button. Shortly thereafter, we had the player installed and could successfully play the included sample file.

Although everyone likes to bash Microsoft, we can't argue with the fact that the Mac Business Unit keep releasing Mac versions of their mainstream products. Let's hope they keep it up!
