by , 7:00 AM EST, January 28th, 2002

The Week's Front Page News At The MUG Center

The User Group section of section of Apple's web site has been updated with complete coverage of Macworld Expo San Francisco 2002, including the User Group Breakfasts, Lounge, Guides and User Group University. Each article has both descriptions and photos.

The Apple Student Core @ Emory will hold their iMovieNite on Monday, January 28 to show off the results of the annual iMovieFest. Teams of Emory students work together to produce their visions via iMovie. If you're in the area, the event is open to the public. Watch for more iMovieFest news; several other campus MUGs are sponsoring similar events.

The Macworld Expo S.F. 2002 Photo Gallery is now online. If you've got photos or iMovies to share, send us the link and we'll hook you up. The archive currently contains links to photo sites as well as iMovies of Steve Jobs' keynote and Guy Kawasaki's keynote address to User Group University.

The Macintosh User Group of Southern New Jersey is holding a special fund-raising raffle at their February meeting. Open to anyone for $1 per ticket, they are raffling off a Special Addition Lionel Apple Train scale model train. Like almost all Apple memorabilia, this collectible is worth the effort, and will only increase in value. Mail-in entries must be received by February 20.

  • February 7 - Bux-Mont Macintosh Users Group
  • February 8 - Palisades Computer Club User Group
  • February 12 - Princeton Macintosh Users Group
  • February 19 - Lehigh Valley Macintosh Users Group
  • February 23 - Philadelphia Area Computer Society User Group
