On top of announcing a ship date for Photoshop 7 for Mac OS X, Adobe has also released GoLive 6 for the new OS. GoLive 6 has several new features aimed at group-oriented Web development, and support for dynamic content development as well. From Adobe:
Adobe Systems Incorporated today announced the immediate availability of Adobe® GoLive® 6.0 software, the company's award-winning Web authoring tool. With the new Adobe Web Workgroup Server, GoLive Dynamic Content authoring, and Web layout tool all in one package, GoLive offers Web and cross-media professionals the most advanced authoring solution to create, manage and deliver personalized content for Web and wireless devices.
GoLive 6.0 delivers many new features that make the Web design workflow more efficient. The Workgroup server included in GoLive 6.0 enables teams to collaborate on projects and effectively manage Web and cross-media assets. New Dynamic Content authoring capabilities and native support for ASP, JSP and PHP lets designers easily configure a Web site to support data-driven transactions for e-commerce.
GoLive 6.0 offers Web and cross-media professionals alike unparalleled integration with Adobe's professional design products, including Adobe InDesign®, Photoshop®, Illustrator®, and LiveMotion software. XML support enables content to be re-purposed from print to Web, while new wireless authoring capabilities offer developers the ability to design, preview and deploy wireless content directly from GoLive.
Additionally, a host of other new Web development features, such as QuickTime 5.0 editing and SMIL support for RealNetworks' RealOne Player round out GoLive 6.0 as the most advanced web authoring environment available today. A complete list of features in Adobe GoLive 6.0 can be found at http://www.adobe.com/golive.
GoLive 6 is available now. The full version is priced at US$399, with upgrades available for US$99. GoLive 6 works with OS 9.1 and above and Mac OS X. You can find more information on GoLive at Adobe's Web site.
