Karelia Updates Watson

Karelia Software has released an update for Watson, bringing it to version1.5. Watson is a Web desktop interface designed to simplify Web browsing and bookmarking. The update features performance enhancements including new tools and a status bar. According to Karelia Software:

Karelia Software today announced the release of Watson 1.5, a significant upgrade to its pioneering desktop interface to the most popular web content and services.

Today's release features four new tools: VersionTracker, Translation, Meerkat News, and Reference.

Additionally, Watson 1.5 has a world-class user experience that builds off of the extraordinary ease of use of previous versions. Significant enhancements include:

  • A new status bar for consistent placement of user interface elements like progress bars
  • A new, elegant set of toolbar and application icons
  • Enhanced placement, naming, sizing, and grouping of myriad user interface elements
