If you're an instant messenger junkie, you'll probably get a kick out of ActiveBuddy, Inc.'s SmarterChild. SmarterChild is an 'interactive agent' - an interface to a search engine, weather reports, cinema times and more - that understands your plain English requests, and delivers them right there in your chat window. All you need to do is add SmarterChild to your AOL or AIM buddy list, and you'll be able to ask it questions whenever you like.
Because SmarterChild uses plain English to 'speak' with you, the response you get from it range from the incredibly useful...

At least it made an effort. It's easy to forget you're not really talking to a real person, which explains my "roll" reaction - and in case you think I'm a lone dork, ActiveBuddy, Inc. claims SmarterChild was told "I love you" over two million times in the first four months of its operation.
ActiveBuddy has since added other agents to its lineup, including sports fan AgentBaseball and news hound AgentReuters. You can find out about SmarterChild and the other ActiveBuddies at the SmarterChild Web site.

mine is gabriellesmarterchild is very mean and should be taken off AIM for good so kids dont get hurt or have anything happen to their computers.also i think that smarterchild is a waste of valuble time. Kids don't know if they are talking to a actuall computer agent or someone that is trying to find out information about them so that smarterchild could be someone that wants to harress them in a bad way.....Smarterchild needs to go.i also think that all robots should go because of all the same reasons.Thank you for your time and enjoy your springbreak
