Wipeout Based Icons And Desktops From the Iconfactory
by , 7:00 AM EDT, June 27th, 2002
The Iconfactory has released a Wipeout themed collection of icons and desktops for Mac users. The Wipeout collection was inspired by the arcade game developed for the Playstation console, just recently ported to ther Macintosh. According to The Iconfactory:
The original Wipeout game caused a sensation when it first debuted along with the Playstation game console, and players were instantly hooked on the arcade rush. The series is now in it's fourth incarnation (Wipeout Fusion for PSX2), but Mac users are just catching up to the second installment, known as Wipeout 2097. This game has been ported to the Macintosh platform and will be marketed by Freeverse Software in the US.
Factory worker Dave Brasgalla is already firmly addicted, and has produced highly realistic Aqua-style icon interpretations of the five fictional team hovercraft from the game. To round out your desktop Wipeout makeover, you can also find a free custom Wipeout 2097 desktop picture at Dave's personal site, Pixelhaus. So steer into the Showroom, pickup the icons, and bring AG racing action to your Mac today!
You can find more information about the Wipeout icons and desktops at The Iconfactory Web site.
