Other World Computing Now Shipping PowerLogix Upgrades

Other World Computing is now shipping the PowerLogix PowerForce Series 100 1GHz G4 upgrade. The PowerLogix upgrade allows users of later model G4's the option to increase processor speeds to over 550MHz . According to Other World Computing:

Other World Computing, a leading provider of products and services for the Macintosh marketplace, today announced that it is the first reseller worldwide to ship the PowerLogix PowerForce Series 100
1GHz G4 upgrade.

This is the first and fastest upgrade available for Apple PowerMac G4 AGP 350, 400, 450 and 500MHz models, Apple PowerMac G4 "Gigabit Ethernet" single 400 and dual 450 or 500MHz models, and for Apple PowerMac G4 Cube 450 and 500MHz models.

The PowerForce G4 Series 100 is the first G4 processor upgrade to run faster than 550 MHz and first to utilize the G4 V'ger and Apollo (7450/7455) processors. The G4 Series 100 upgrade features the first-ever three-phase power supply on a Mac processor card and runs at 1.2MHz - nearly five times faster than Apple's standard power supply.
