Apple To Host Midnight Event With "Free Stocking Stuffers" Day After Thanksgiving

by , 1:30 PM EST, November 18th, 2002

Fresh off the raging success of the Jaguar Midnight event held in August, Apple is holding a new event the day after Thanksgiving. For our non-US Observers, Thanksgiving is a holiday held on the last Thursday in November, and the day after Thanksgiving is traditionally the start of the retail shopping frenzy. That day, Apple will be staying open late until midnight for a new promotion. Starting at 6:00 PM, the Apple Stores will be giving away "free stocking stuffers," offering "special savings," and giving away a 15" iMac. The company is also offering gift wrap designed by Rex Ray. From Apple's description at its Web site:

Shop Late. Stuff Early.
Get a head start on your holiday shopping — join us at the Apple Store Friday, November 29th from 6:00pm to Midnight for an event you won't want to miss. Starting at 6:00pm sharp, enjoy free stocking-stuffers, special savings and a chance to win a new 15-inch iMac.*

Can't make it in person? You can also shop online for one-night-only deals at the Apple Store online. (The Apple Store online event will be held between 6:00pm and Midnight, PST.)

Hello, stocking.
The perfect gift? We've got lots of them. Visit your Apple Store for great gift ideas for the special people on your shopping list.

Rex Ray Gift Wrap Holiday Gift Wrap.
Wrap your gifts in a work of art designed by renowned artist and graphic designer Rex Ray.

* No purchase necessary, available only at Apple Store retail locations. Offers and gifts good while supplies last.

For those who can't make it, TMO will be offering coverage and pics from the event. For those who can, we'll see you at an Apple Store. You can find more information on the promotional event at Apple's Web site.

The Mac Observer Spin:

Apple must have been pleased with the thousands of people who lined up, and spent money, at Apple's Jaguar event. We don't know what the free stocking stuffers will be, but we think it a good guess that there are lots, and lots, and lots of Mac users who will be lining up to find out.
