Apple Brings Hot Deals To 114 Apple Specialists Retailer Near You, Updates Online Hot Deals

by , 5:45 PM EST, November 19th, 2002

Apple's Hot Deals page has been a popular feature with Mac users, and Apple has expanded the program in a way that we think is very positive. The company has introduced Hot Deals that can be purchased locally at some 114 US Apple Specialists retailers. From the description on Apple's Hot Deals site, a subsection of the Macintosh Product Guide:

Apple Specialists are regionally approved and nationally recognized Apple authorized resellers. These resellers must meet Apple's strict, comprehensive screening standards that assure high quality service, top-notch knowledge, and painstaking attention to customer satisfaction. Be sure to visit an Apple Specialist in your area to take advantage of these great Hot Deals and for all of your Macintosh computing needs.

There are three offers being made available through the Apple Specialists: ThinkFree Office for US$29.99 (with a rebate coupon available for download), a free Epson Stylus C42UX printer with the purchase of any new Mac, and the ProScope handheld digital microscope for US$199. Visit the Hot Deals page for Apple Specialists for more information and for an Apple Specialist store finder.

Apple has also updated the Hot Deals offerings for J&R Computing, B&H Photo & Video, and CompUSA.

The new J&R Computing page includes deals on a work station desk, printers, CD burners, a mouse, a Palm device, software, speakers, and more. You can find the J&R Computing Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.

The CompUSA Hot Deals page has some speakers, several printers, some displays, CD-R media, a media reader, several software titles, some cameras, drives, UPS devices, and more. You can find the CompUSA Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.

The B&H Photo & Video Hot Deals page has lots and lots of digital cameras, some imaging software, and several printers. You can find the B&H Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.

The Mac Observer Spin:

We love the new deals for the 114 Apple Specialists, in that Apple is offering something to some of the very many markets without an Apple owned Apple Store. At the same time, the company is offering a tool to some of its retailing partners who have to compete with an Apple Store in their own back yard. Customers, Apple, and the Apple Specialists all win with that. That's almost always a Good Thing™.
