Apple Extends Holiday Promos To Education Market

by , 4:00 PM EST, November 27th, 2002

Apple has extended some of its holiday promos to the education market. The first is called "Brighten Your Holidays," and offers a savings of US$99 when you buy any new Mac and an HP DeskJet 3820 or 5550 printer. This includes educational pricing, which the "Brighten Your Holidays" promo rolled out last month did not, and is being offered to both higher education and K-12 education customers. From the promo description:

Combine the power of a Macintosh computer and the stunning photo-quality color printing of a qualifying Hewlett-Packard Inkjet printer and dazzle your family and friends.

Buy a Mac and an HP DeskJet 3820 or 5550 printer between October 25, 2002, and January 7, 2003, and receive a $99 rebate. Purchase must be at the same time on the same invoice.

This is a limited time offer available only direct from Apple online and retail stores and from a participating authorized Apple resellers.*

The offer requires a coupon that can be downloaded from Apple's site. You can find more information on the "Brighten Your Holidays" promo for higher education at Apple's Education Hot Deals page. You can find more information on the original promo at Apple's Apple Store Hot Deals page.

Apple has also extended the "Jingle bells and whistles" promo to its education customers. This promo offers US$50 off of the education pricing for eMacs, which means the units start at US$949 with the promo. From the description:

The eMac, Apple's most affordable PowerPC G4-based system, comes complete with a 17-inch flat CRT display and a space-saving, all-in-one design. It fits right in your home and -- for a limited time -- fits right in your budget.

Get an eMac starting at $949, after a $50 instant savings on qualifying Apple eMac computers.*

Offer available from November 22, 2002, through December 28, 2002.

* Campus reseller participation may vary from Apple's promotional offers and may include instant savings in lieu of a mail-in rebate. Please check with your campus reseller for more information.

Qualifying products:

  • M8894LL/A eMac (700Mhz/CD-RW Drive)
  • M8891LL/A eMac (700Mhz/Combo Drive)
  • Z06M eMac (700Mhz Configure-to-order)

Offer not applicable to eMac with 800Mhz processor or superdrive.

The offer requires a coupon that can be downloaded from Apple's site. You can find more information on the "Jingle Bells and Whistles" promo for higher education at Apple's Education Hot Deals page. You can find more information on the original promo at Apple's Apple Store Hot Deals page.
