USER GROUP UNIVERSITY PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING

The deadline for User Group University pre-registration is fast approaching. You can register on the Acteva registration page for $35 until 7 AM PST on January 1. After that, registration will only be available on-site for $50. Space in this year's class is limited, so don't count on being a walk-in - register now.

MORE GROUPS JOIN THE USER GROUP BOOTH AT MACWORLD EXPO

More user groups have joined the Macintosh User Group Booth, the MUG presence on the Expo show floor. They include:

  • The Josephine County Macintosh Users Group
  • MacFilmmakers
  • MacValley Users Group
  • Digital Edge

These additions raise the number of groups participating to 25, the largest, most diverse participation in any user group booth at any Macworld Expo. Be sure to stop by the booth while you're in San Francisco and meet the groups who are representing MUGs everywhere to the Expo crowds.

USER GROUP UNIVERSITY VENDOR PANEL PARTICIPANTS ANNOUNCED

Vendor support is one of the one of the most important issues every MUG leader deals with. The best way to gain the knowledge necessary is through direct contact with vendor representatives. The Vendor Panel session and Vendor Reception at User Group University are perfect opportunities to do just that. The Vendor Reception allows MUG leaders to talk directly with representatives from the sponsoring vendors of UGU, find out about their specific programs and what they offer. The Vendor Panel session is designed to allow the vendors to communicate, as a group, about what the MUG community means to them, how interaction can be improved for the benefit of all, and to answer questions from attendees. The panel for the sixth User Group University has been announced, and includes representatives from some of the MUG community's strongest supporters, as well as some vendors new to the MUG experience. A complete list, with photos, is available on the UGU Syllabus page.

You can get more information at The MUG Center's Web site.
