WebCam Driver Updated From IOXperts With Expanded Camera Support
by , 12:00 PM EST, February 27th, 2003
IOXperts has released an update for the USB Webcam driver, bringing it to version 1.0.2. The USB driver is designed to bring Mac support to a variety of digital Web cameras. The update features expanded camera compatibility including support for VideoLogic. According to IOXperts:
OXperts, Inc. announces the 1.0.2 release of its USB Webcam driver for Mac OS X. In addition to performance improvements, the developers have added support for three popular "PC only" Webcams.
Mac users shopping for USB web cameras find that very few models provide software support for OS 9 and none for OS X. IOXperts solves this problem for the Mac community.
The driver supports more than 35 USB Web cameras, including many of the most popular models from Logitech and Philips. Newly supported cameras in this release are: AME-CU320, Philips ToUcam XS (PCVC720K/40 only), and VideoLogic
You can find more information about the USB Still Camera driver update at the IOXperts Web site. The USB Web camera driver update is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$19.95.
