Northern Softworks Updates Jaguar Cache Cleaner With Dock Enhancements

by , 7:00 AM EST, March 28th, 2003

Northern Softworks has released an update for Jaguar Cache Cleaner, bringing it to version 1.7. Jaguar Cache Cleaner is a system utility designed for cleaning out corrupted cache data. The update adds dock enhancements and improved document control. According to Northern Softworks:

Northern Softworks today announced the release of version 1.7 of Jaguar Cache Cleaner, its popular OS X maintenance and utility application.

What is Jaguar Cache Cleaner?

There are times when Jaguar can become plagued with random application crashes (particularly after updating software). There are times when the Internet Preferences seem to get stuck. This usually results in an ability to change the default web browser. Often these problems are a result of corrupted or stale cache data.

What's New in Jaguar Cache Cleaner 1.7?

  • JCC can now kill or restart the Dock. JCC can now kill or restart the Finder. When JCC kills these items, they stay dead for the remainder of your work session. JCC can now function in non admin user accounts
  • Version 1.7 introduces JCC Documents. This is an exciting new feature that can automate a number of JCC's capabilities. JCC Documents allow one step access to many of the routine maintenance chores users may need. They are well suited for use as login items

You can find more information about the Jaguar Cache Cleaner update at the Northern Softworks Web site. Jaguar Cache Cleaner is available as freeware.
