by , 5:10 PM EDT, April 10th, 2003

We mentioned this morning that Mac OS X 10.2.5 had been added to the Apple Store as an orderable CD. At the time, the update was not yet available through Software Update, or as a downloadable file, but that has changed. Mac OS X 10.2.5 is now available through the Software Update Control Panel, with the update addressing a variety of changes. From the release notes:

The 10.2.5 Update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for the following applications, services and technologies: AirPort, Bluetooth, Classic compatibility, FireWire, Graphics, Image Capture, Mail, and OpenGL.

The update includes improvements to AFP, web services, dial-up connections over PPP, and Windows file services, as well as audio, disc recording, graphics, and printing improvements.

The update also provides updated security services and includes the latest security updates.

Get the update through Software Update, or from Apple's download site. That page also has more detailed information on the update itself. The update weighs in at 39.9 MB.
