by , 1:00 PM EDT, May 5th, 2003

ResearchWare, Inc. has released an update for HyperRESEARCH, bringing it to version 2.5. HyperRESEARCH is a research tool designed for identifying and analyzing data patterns and trends. The update features expanded MPEG and MP3 support and other internal enhancements. According to ResearchWare:

ResearchWare, Inc. today released HyperRESEARCH 2.5, a cross-platform software package for qualitative analysis research.

HyperRESEARCH is used by researchers in social science research, psychology, usability, and corporate marketing to identify and analyze patterns and trends among qualitative data from a variety of media file types, including text, images, audio and video.

Driven by extensive user testing, HyperRESEARCH 2.5 introduces a streamlined workflow for citing passages from source materials, and expands its use of Apple's cross-platform QuickTime multimedia architecture to support source materials in such popular formats as MP3, MPEG, MPEG-4 in addition to text and five different image formats.

The new version also provides auto-saving features, enhanced printing support, flexible code renaming features, and multiple window layouts for different workflows, and an enhanced Hypothesis Tester for more complex data analysis.

You can find more information about the HyperRESEARCH update at the ResearchWare, Inc. Website. HyperRESEARCH 2.5 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$370.00.
