Connectix Fixes Airport Extreme Bugs With Virtual PC Update

by , 2:00 PM EDT, May 28th, 2003

Connectix has released an update for Virtual PC, bringing it to version 6.0.2. Virtual PC is a PC to Mac emulator designed for running Windows only applications within the Mac environment. The update fixes issues experienced with Airport Extreme wireless users. According to Connectix:

Virtual PC for Mac 6.0.2 Airport Extreme Card Fix released.

Connectix Virtual PC™ for Mac® delivers true PC compatibility by enabling your Mac to run Windows® applications, access PC networks, use Windows-only Internet applications and share files with PC-based colleagues.

Virtual PC provides you with the functionality and compatibility of a Pentium® PC through sophisticated software emulation of the standard Intel® chip set and other hardware components. It's like putting a powerful PC inside your Mac. You can run your Windows or DOS software - including business, education, Internet and home applications - just as you would on a PC.

Who needs this Updater?

Important: This Update is for Airport Extreme Card users who are experiencing issues with Virtual PC for Mac Version 6. If you are not experiencing any issues with your Airport Extreme Card, please refer to Updater 6.0.1

You can find more information about the Virtual PC update at the Connectix Web site. The Virtual PC 6.0.2 update is free for registered users, while the full version is available starting at US$129.00.
