New Desktops At Mandolux
by , 6:00 PM EDT, May 29th, 2003
Mandolux has released new desktops for download. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent anywhere from abstract imagery to dual monitor desktop configs. According to Mandolux:
Mandolux has issued five new mighty fine desktops: one Vector-based (Abstract/Woman/Techno), one CAPS (Saint Louis Cardinals), one Steevil (Abstract/Mexican Tool), and two Impressionism II (Monet) desktops.
About the desktops:
There is one amazing new Vector-based desktop titled imagine* and words escape me in describing this wallpaper: it is an abstract view of a woman modeling nothing. Incorporating the desktop, to the right of her, there is the word imagine* and next to that there is also two abstract graphic elements from a photograph of mine. In my humble opinion, this is a must-download desktop
The new CAPS desktop is dedicated to my second favorite team of baseball the Saint Louis Cardinals. This desktop without doubt shows my love for them and their wonderful heritage it shows how old and often I have worn this cap in my life (the color red has diminish a lot indeed)
The new Steevil is a picture of a Mexican culinary tool used to smash/mix ingredients a Molcajete. This is a wonderful close-up black-n-white picture of the side of the molcajete illuminated from behind with two sources to emphasize the shape of this object. There is some blurriness in the top of the picture that creates the sensation of closeness. Pretty cool to have!
Lastly, Im proud to inform you that I once again will start issuing new additions to my Impressionism collection of desktops. The first addition is Vétheuil by Monet (1880). This is a wonderful painting of the shore of Vétheuil (France) with a few boats, a lighthouse, and a glorious sky
You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
