SubRosaSoft Shipping CopyCatX 1.0

SubRosaSoft, Ltd. is now shipping CopyCatX 1.0 for Mac users. CopyCatX is a utility designed for duplicating OS X drives for backup and management. The app ships with a "device copying" method for complete drive detail retention. According to SubRosaSoft:

SubRosaSoft, Ltd., a software company based in New Zealand focusing on disk utility and privacy software, today announced the immediate availability of SubRosaSoft CopyCatX 1.0.

CopyCatX is an extremely fast and easy-to-use utility for duplicating an OSX drive and is perfect for the network administrator who needs to deploy multiple drives with identical content, or someone who wants to upgrade to a bigger drive.

CopyCatX utilizes a method called "device copying" instead of the more common "file-by-file" copy employed by most backup software. Using device copy enables a user to retain every detail of the original drive, from bootablity to the icon locations. Device copy is also a lot faster than the traditional file-by-file backup.
