The Iconfactory Opens StokIcons.com Doors
by , 6:00 PM EDT, June 27th, 2003
The Iconfactory has announced a new service for software developers, StockIcons.com. StockIcons.com is a resource for developers requiring icons for desktop and Web based applications. Each set ships with numerous icons in three resolution sizes. According to The Iconfactory:
The Iconfactory, the Web’s premiere source for quality icons, is pleased to announce the launch of our new Website – StockIcons.com. StockIcons.com is geared towards software developers looking for professional quality stock icons for inclusion in their desktop or web-based applications. The icon artists at the factory have taken their skills and experiences and applied them to the creation of high-quality sets of affordable icons.
Each stock set comes complete with 80 individual icons rendered in three pixel sizes - 32x32, 24x24 and 16x16. Each size is provided in a range of file formats including 32-bit TIFs, PNGs, 8-bit GIFs, BMPs and of course Mac .ICNS and Windows .ICO formats.
To mark the WWDC launch of StockIcons.com, the site is featuring "Aquatica", a premier set of icons from noted icon artist, Dave Brasgalla, author of The Iconfactory's popular World of Aqua series of icons. Aquatica works perfectly within the OS X environment and was designed with exacting standards to give developers the quality Aqua icons they've been looking for.
You can find more information about StockIcons.com at the site home page. Individual icon collections are available for US$349.00.
