It has two big floors dedicated to all things Apple. It has a theater that would make Spielberg envious. It has a Genius Bar large enough to land small planes. It has grass on its roof!

We are referring the latest addition to Apple's growing number of Apple Store retail location; Apple Store North Michigan Avenue, in Chicago, Illinois. The company opened the store this past weekend, and you have to see the pictures posted at Apple's Web site to believe it. For those who can't go to the store in person, the company has posted a gallery of images that really show off the store's design nicely.

Stop by Apple's News site and check out the photos of the new store, then drop by the store's Event Schedule to see what's shaking is Chi-Town.

The Mac Observer Spin:

The Palo Alto store is just 'nice' in comparison. Apple seems to have gone all out with this new store. Locating the new store in the up-scale Michigan Avenue shopping district is par for Apple, but this store raises the bar on coolness. The 48 seat theater and the huge conference room are amazing in themselves, but this place has a Software Section that's the size of some of the smaller Apple Store locations all by itself.

If you've been able to go to the Chicago Apple Store, drop a note in the comments.
