eBay, the world's online marketplace, today announced the appointment of Fred D. Anderson to its board of directors. Anderson's term on the board begins immediately.
"Fred is an outstanding addition to eBay's board," said Meg Whitman, eBay's president and CEO. "Fred brings a wealth of talent and experience as a corporate executive and director to the eBay board. He will be a solid addition to an already stellar board of directors." Anderson is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Apple Computer, Inc., a position he has held since April 1996. Prior to joining Apple, Anderson served in a similar capacity at Automatic Data Processing for seven years.
Anderson is a graduate of Whittier College in California where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Anderson previously practiced as a certified public accountant in the state of California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The Mac Observer Spin:
Fred Anderson is a busy man. Being a CFO and a member of three different boards of directors is both interesting and unusual. As we have said before when he was appointed to the other boards, it speaks well for the job he is doing at Apple, and indeed, of Apple itself.Warning: include(/usr/local/etc/httpd/sites/macobserver.com/htdocs/forums/extension.inc) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/bbm/macobserver.com/ee2/www/htdocs/comments/comments.php on line 108
