4D WebSTAR Updated With Expanded Filtering

4D, Inc. has released an update for 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, bringing it to version 5.3.1. 4D WebSTAR Server Suite is a 4D utility tool kit designed for Web developers and database administrators. The update features several improvements including Norton AntiVirus email filtering support and spam filtering for Web-based mail users. According to 4D, Inc:

4D, Inc. today released 4D WebSTAR V v5.3.1, an update to 4D WebSTAR Server Suite V now with Norton AntiVirus(tm) email filtering support, spam filtering in 4D WebMail Pro, a new 4D Dynamic Data Indexer (4D DDI), and more.

The 4D WebSTAR V v5.3.1 update extends its application integration capabilities with a new 4D Dynamic Data Indexer feature. 4D DDI adds SOAP-based Web Services client support to the 4D WebSTAR Search crawler, allowing rapid searches of dynamic data served by any Web Services-compliant data source, including 4th Dimension 2003.

The new 4D WebMail Pro application now performs spam filtering for Web-based mail users, with individually adaptive spam sensitivity. 4D WebSTAR V v5.3.1 also includes CGI, FTP and numerous other reliability improvements and plugin enhancements.
