by , 2:00 PM EST, November 25th, 2003
IOGEAR is now shipping the MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP. The MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP is a switch device designed for controlling multiple computers simultaneously from a single console, bypassing network setups. The switch features speaker sharing and features hot swap support. According to IOGEAR:
IOGEAR, the mobile connectivity and peripheral specialist, has introduced its MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP (Keyboard, Video, Mouse, Peripheral) Switch. Users can control up to four USB or PS/2 computers with a single keyboard, monitor and mouse, while sharing speakers, a microphone and other USB peripherals.
The MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP Switch brings an added bonus to traditional KVM switches by offering USB peripheral sharing capabilities. Users can save space and money by eliminating the need for multiple keyboards, monitors and mice, as well as peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and external drives. Up to four computers can access all connected USB peripherals using Hot Keys.
You can find more information about the MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP at the IOGEAR Web site. The MiniView Extreme Multimedia KVMP 2-port is available for US$129.95, and the 4-port config retails for US$179.95.
