LAJ Design Ships New Speech Conversion Utility

by , 1:00 PM EDT, May 26th, 2004

LAJ Design is shipping a new app for Mac users, Listen Later 1.0. Listen Later is a utility designed for converting text files into audio speech files. The app is cross-platform compatible and supports PDF text to speech conversion. According to LAJ Design:

LAJ Design today announced the release and immediate availability of Listen Later version 1.0.

Listen Later is cross-platform application that creates allows listen to your work when you want by letting the computer read your documents to files.

Listen Later takes text and by using the computer speech modules, speaks the text to files. Students can take chapter PDF files and change them to AIFF files that can be burned to a CD or moved to your iPod to listen as you travel. Commuters with long drive can now get something done as they travel. Or exercisers can multitask as they workout.

Listen Later has two modes at this time: basic and manager. Both modes lets you import text, PDF, html, or inputted text. Basic mode is the single file mode. Manager mode lets you import and create multiple files. It is useful for students to convert multiple chapters at a time.

You can find more information about the Listen Later release at the LAJ Design Web site. Listen Later is available for US$23.50.
