by , 1:00 PM EDT, June 28th, 2004

Canto has released a new version of Internet Client Pro, bringing it to version 2.0. Internet Client Pro is a media utility designed for Web developers using the Cumulus Enterprise Edition. The update features several enhancements including a redesigned interface and the use of cascading style sheets. According to Canto:

Canto, a global leader in Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Internet Client Pro 2.0. Designed for users who do not merely publish their assets but also intend to use them for marketing and generating business, Internet Client Pro 2.0 is a Web-client permitting data upload and editing as well as cataloging.

Internet Client Pro 2.0 enables users to create dynamic Web pages allowing customers around the world to comfortably search for images and other documents within Cumulus catalogs using standard Web browsers. Compatibility with all Web browsers is ensured as the category tree is now realized by a Java implementation at the server resulting in an HTML output.

The re-designed user interface boasts context-sensitive enabling and disabling of buttons. Further increasing ease of use, Internet Client Pro 2.0 features a "find all" button as well as a "logout" button. Customization is raised to a higher level in Internet Client Pro 2.0. Asset Handling Sets can be employed for customization of cataloging and of the creation of previews.

Furthermore, all aspects of Web pages can be customized with the use of Cascading Style Sheets, making the choice of fonts, sizes and styles a breeze. The user can also choose to customize the navigation bar. Compatibility with Web pages created with Internet Client Pro 1.0 is ensured.

You can find more information about latest Internet Client Pro release at the Canto Web site. Internet Client Pro is available for US$6,995.00.
