Canto Shipping Web Publisher Pro 2.0

by , 3:00 PM EDT, June 30th, 2004

Canto has released a new version of Web Publisher Pro, bringing it to version 2.0. Web Publisher Pro is a utility designed for Web developers using the Cumulus Enterprise Edition. The latest release features support for all major browsers and ships with simultaneous catalog sorting. According to Canto:

Canto, a global leader in Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Web Publisher Pro 2.0.

Designed for users who do not merely publish their assets but also intend to use them for marketing and generating business, the Option upgrade contains a list of new features and capabilities. This Internet Solution is compatible with all Cumulus 6 Workgroup Editions - it is a component of the Cumulus 6 Publishing Server.

With Web Publisher Pro 2.0 users can create dynamic Web pages allowing customers around the world to comfortably search for images and other documents within Cumulus catalogs using standard Web browsers.

Compatibility with all Web browsers is ensured as the category tree is now realized by a Java implementation at the server resulting in an HTML output. Customers can search, sort and select items and finally place them in a collection basket. Sorting across several catalogs simultaneously is a new feature. Customizability also extends to QuickSearch, so that fields can be added. A new search feature allows searching within category fields. The integrated ordering system enables users to choose a preferred method of asset delivery, be it download, email or physical fulfillment, e.g. CD-ROM.

You can find more information about latest Web Publisher Pro release at the Canto Web site. Web Publisher Pro is available for US$2,495.00.
