iScienceProject Helps Kids Learn Science with HOBO

From The Show Floor - iScienceProject Helps Kids Learn Science with HOBO

The Mac has always been a strong performer in the educational market. The folks at iScienceProject hope to continue this trend with the introduction of the HOBO Henry Science Kit, a data-logger based science learning kit for the Mac. The Kit is designed for children in grades K-6, and includes a small data logger, HOBOware software, a HOBO Henry sponge figure, and a 48-page activity book filled with labs, activities and stories.

The logger is able to measure temperature, relative humidity, light and liquid temperature. One interesting project, conducted by a fifth-grade student, was titled "Will My Chocolate Bar Survive?" and was meant to determine which, if any, carriers were able to ship a chocolate bar without it melting. The HOBO Henry Science Kit is available immediately for $149. Quantity discounts and a loan program are available.
