Apple Updates Hot Deals, Adds Office Depot, Tech Depot

Apple has updated the Hot Deals page for AudioMIDI at the Macintosh Product Guide. Apple has also added Office Depot and Tech Depot to the Hot Deals listings. The Mac Product Guide is a list of Mac compatible hardware and software products on the market. The Hot Deals section of the Product Guide features several Mac retailers and special offers that one can only get, at least in theory, at the Hot Deals page.
The new AudioMIDI Hot Deals page has offers on a mixing board, a Photoshop training DVD, a tip book for Logic, two MIDI interfaces, and two software titles. You can find the AudioMIDI Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.
The new Office Depot Hot Deals page has offers on an LCD display, external storage, a printer, a digital camera, DVD-R and CD-R media, DVD cases, software, a USB pen drive, and a DV camera. You can find the Office Depot Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.
The new Tech Depot Hot Deals page has offers on iPod accessories, speakers, a DV camera, a digital camera, two USB pen drives, a wireless base station, external storage, a wireless mouse, and software. You can find the Tech Depot Hot Deals page at Apple's Web site.
The Mac Observer Spin:
We like the addition of Office Depot and its Tech Depot affiliate to Hot Deals. Office Depot has a huge presence in the office supply business, and we believe that the company will see an upsurge in its Mac-related sales through Apple's Hot Deals site. That, in turn, could well make Office Depot consider the Mac in a new light. In the long run, we'd like to see a Mac on Office Depot brick and mortar store shelves due to the retailer's business reach, but we don't really consider that likely. If this new Hot Deals listing results in the company being more excited about pushing Apple products through its Web site and phone ordering services, however, that in and of itself will be good.
