Camera OLYMPUS 5060 WZ.

Main advantages:
Exceptionally high quality colors on images. Perfect for travel – light, small with quality of images equal to professional cameras. Microphotography availability give to everyone exceptional field for work. Manual focus and Manual Mode give incredible variety of options for art photography. Many mode options which give the photographers (new and experienced in photography) possibility to adjust results which they expect to the real conditions.

Main disadvantages:
1. Very low quality of camera OLYMPUS C-5060 WZ – poor software, very defective electronic modules.
2. Not robust in use. Very high rate of defects. For less than 10 months my camera was for repair three times in warranty. The defects are not damages by use they are manufacturing defects of the cameras.
3. Very slow in use - long time for adjustment.
4. Very poor and not fear customer service and very low qualified technical support. OLYMPUS is not interested in customer satisfaction. The repaired camera can be with more defects after than before the service. OLYMPUS never deduct the weeks in which camera was in repair and to prolong warranties with this weeks. Till now I had 5 weeks in which camera was in OLYMPUS technical service.
5. Very high electrical noise of the amplifiers and electronic circuits transferring image to binary code. Digital zoom (wide advertised from OLYMPUS) is USELESS. If you want to have picture with high quality never use digital zoom.
6. White balance is useless. I newer reached in manual WB to compensate in current lighting condition white to be white.
7. Difficult for focusing in low light and in high brightens too.
8. Not perfect software (firmware). It can not control too many options, which normally overlapped each other and are too similar on the picture.
9. Very complicated and confused user manual.
10. Very slow in use. Not applicable for sport pictures and wild animal world due to slow acting system for automatic control (focus and aperture adjustment).

Final advise: Never ever spend too much money for expensive and with low quality equipment from OLYMPUS. Go to more simple and with high quality, good speed in use and robust in operation digital cameras, which in most of the cases are chipper than OLYMPUS.

If someone is interested to learn more for the defects and behavior of OLYMPUS can e-mail me at alex_art@artlover.com. I’ll give you all details and what I know about the camera OLYMPUS 5060WZ.
