Upcoming Apple Press Event to Feature Steve Jobs, Bono, The Edge

by , 1:10 PM EDT, October 18th, 2004

Apple will be holding a special press event on October 26th, according to a report from CNet. The event will feature Steve Jobs and U2's Bono and The Edge. According to reporter Ina Fried, the invitation says simply that "Steve Jobs, Bono and The Edge invite you to a special event."

There is no indication as to what the event is for, but Apple has always used such events in the past as vehicles for introducing new products. In that light, CNet points out that rumors have been circulating about a new color-screen iPod, and that Apple has promised to roll out the iTunes Music Store in more European countries some time this month.
