Apple Updates iPod Software

Apple has posted iPod Updater 2004-11-15 (also available via Software Update), which includes iPod mini Software 1.2 and iPod Software 3.0.2. With version 1.2, iPod minis gain many of the features found in 4G iPods, including the ability to:

Shuffle and play song library with one click
Create multiple On-The-Go playlists
Delete songs from On-The-Go playlists
Select reading playback speed for audiobooks
Hear Click Wheel clicker through headphones
Sync and go with improved disconnect performance

iPod Software 3.0.2 includes improved USB 2.0 connectivity; both updates also sport compatibility with iTunes 4.7 and the iTunes Music Store.
