Griffin Announces Lapel Mic

Griffin Technology has announced the immediate availability of the Lapel Mic, a microphone similar in style to professional Lavalier microphones.

It features a 3.5 millimeter stereo mini-jack and a swivel clip. It can be combined with a Griffin iTalk and an iPod so users can flexibly record sound - interviews, lectures and more.

The product retails for US$14.99.

Griffin seems to have trouble with product naming. I've always thought it was silly that they named their audio input device iMic, when it isn't a microphone. Now they've actually made a lapel microphone and called it...Lapel Mic? How can you distinguish your product brand with such a generic name? And I wouldn't think they would be able to trademark that, either.
