Adobe Press Release Gaffe Details New Photoshop

Adobe briefly posted a press release for the upcoming Photoshop CS2 to its Web site this past weekend, quickly retracted the release -- dated April 4, 2005 -- after the company realized the error.

Photoshop CS2, and presumably the rest of the Creative Suite 2 package, will ship in the U.S. in May, the press release noted. Among the application's new features highlighted in the press release were an enhanced Spot Healing brush, new Smart Objects (allowing users to scale images without losing quality), and new Vanishing Point and Image Warping tools, which speed up previously tedious editing tasks.
