Seiko's Smart Label Printer Driver Prints From Almost Any App

Seiko Instruments USA has released a Beta version of the Mac driver for its line of Smart Label Printers. The driver applies only to the 100, 200 and 240 models of the printers, which enable users to print one label, name tag or similar item at a time. Users can employ it to print from almost any application, including Microsoft Word and FileMaker Pro.
Seiko expects to make the final version of the driver available this fall, when it will also release "customized Mac hardware" -- no further information was available on that. Seiko's Smart Label Printers come with Smart Label Software that allows users to create custom labels and name tags with a variety of fonts and graphics. This driver requires Mac OS X v10.2 or v10.3.
