Boris FX Acquires Final Effects Complete From Optibase

Boris FX and Media 100 announced Tuesday that Boris FX has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Final Effects Complete from Optibase.

Boris FX will acquire all associated trademarks including Studio Effects, Next Effects and ICE FX. The products will continue to be offered with Boris FX providing maintenance, support and future development.

It perfectly complements our family of image processing products and offer a wider variety of effects options to our customers,” said Boris FX founder and president Boris Yamnitsky. "With our focus on effects creation, Boris FX is best positioned to move Final Effects Complete forward.”

Final Effects will be available bundled with Boris Continuum Complete. Continuum Complete is a comprehensive suite of native plug-in filters and transitions for Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Discreet Combustion and Boris Red. More than 150 filters extend the visual effects capabilities of the native host application.

Final Effects Complete and Continuum Complete are each available through the BorisFX worldwide reseller channel or direct through BorisFX for US$795 or purchase both solutions for $1,295. Existing FEC users can purchase BCC for $595.
