First International Digital on Monday introduced irock!, USB 2.0 headphones that include six speakers, each in its own sound chamber, for a 5.1 Surround Sound experience. They also feature volume controls for each speaker, an equalizer with preset settings, mute control and more. The irock headphones are collapsible and require Mac OS X v10.1. I haven't tried to eek 5.1 out of my mac before, so I'm just wondering... can I plug these babies into a USB 2.0 port and expect 5.1 from regular old DVD player to pump into the 'phones?
That would be pretty sweet.
$50 seems like a steal... with 6 speakers I guess there is a little mini-subwoofer in there. ![]()
