SpamSieve 2.3.2 Enhances Spam Filtering

SpamSieve 2.3.2 Enhances Spam Filtering

by , 12:30 PM EDT, August 8th, 2005

Shareware developer Michael Tsai on Monday released version 2.3.2 of SpamSieve, his client-side utility for filtering spam from e-mail. This update, which is free for registered users, includes such improvements as better filtering accuracy, a "Quit when mail client quits" option, the ability to revert to an earlier corpus even after it's reset, automatic disabling of Eudora's junk plug-ins, which can interfere with SpamSieve's accuracy, and more.

SpamSieve is US$25; Mac OS X v10.2 or higher is required.

I rely on SpamSieve to handle e-mail traffic on a few heavily-spammed e-mail accounts. SpamSieve is easily "trained" to identify spam as well as critical correspondence that one doesn't want misidentified as spam or otherwise "lost" in a torrent of heavy e-mail traffic.
