Apple To Open Three Apple Stores This Weekend

by , 9:05 AM EDT, September 21st, 2005

Apple plans to open three new store on Saturday, September 24, 2005. The company will be opening its first store in Oklahoma, Apple Store Penn Square, and its ninth store in Florida, the Apple Store Florida Mall in Orlando. The Apple Store South Hills Village in Pittsburg will be the third store in Pennsylvania.

There will be in-store promotions, including tee-shirt giveaways, and a Grand Opening Sweepstakes at each new store where the winner will get a Digital Lifestyle Collection valued at US$2350.

That prize includes a 17-inch flat-panel iMac G5 with Combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW), an iPod nano, a Canon PowerShot SD400 digital camera, a Canon ZR100 digital camcorder, and an Epson Stylus R200 printer.

Each store will also be offering "a variety of unique and educational presentations, demonstrations and workshops" throughout the week.

Subject: Pittsburgh has an "h"

Unlike Pittsburg, CA or Pittsburg, KS. . . Pittsburgh, PA has an "h" at the end. Just remember the abbreviation, Pgh., PA and you'll never be confused about how to spell it again.

Subject: Proofreader, Yes. But...

TMO has desperately needed a proofreader for a long time. But first they need some writers. The eighth-grade book reports that pass for Vern Seward's columns are embarassing.
