Photoshop Elements 4 for Windows Only

Adobe is shipping a new version of Photoshop Elements, but this time it's for Windows users only. The new version includes several enhancements, like improved red-eye and retouch tools, slideshows and better organizational tools.

Adobe's website has no mention of a new version for Macintosh, and instead takes you to a page for Photoshop Elements 3. There is no word on when to expect version 4 for the Mac, but Digital Photography Review claims an Adobe spokesman says Mac support will be added in the "near future."

Mainly for working on old family pics I have scanned in. It's good when you need more than iPhoto (currently) provides and I would probably upgrade if the OS X version was available.

I agree that Adobe is probably in a mad dash to get a PPC/Mactel version ready and we won't see any more Adobe upgrades until that little task is taken care of.
