jeff gamet is a power user and one of the most informed mac engineers i have encountered. what makes jeff unique is his mastery of design and the additional knowledge he holds outside of his expertise. he has an ability to communicate the osx environment to the professional and home office user. i know that seems as no huge accomplishment to us veterans of the osx system, but try telling that to graphic designer who has just migrated his entire business to mac and needs make or break information to keep his business flow charged.
i personally use jeff gamet as an advisor, and recommend his articles, instruction, and current book (Designer's Guide to Mac OS X Tiger, peachpit press). jeff has a very personal, hands on, one on one demeanor when concerning client issues. we started as business acquaintances and now friends. when it comes to design and publishing, i have the best ace card in the game. jeff is my genius on call.
sincerely
