Yank Provides All-Purpose App Removal

Yank Provides All-Purpose App Removal

by , 12:00 AM EST, January 18th, 2006

Matterform Media has released Yank, a utility that uninstalls Mac OS X applications. It uses Matterform's Sonar technology to find and remove hidden files that usually escape the detection of search tools. Mac users typically uninstall programs by deleting them, but they usually have support files that remain throughout the hard drive.

Matterform has also launched a Yank file-sharing page where users can share uninstaller files with others who want to remove applications that they set up before they installed Yank. Yank sells for US$19.95 and requires Mac OS X v10.2 or higher. v10.4 is recommended.
