Apple's Intel Compatible Printer List

Apple's Intel Compatible Printer List

by , 1:25 PM EST, February 6th, 2006

Apple's Knowledgebase system has an extensive list of printers that are out-of-the-box compatible with the new Intel-based Macs. The list includes printers from:

    - Apple
    - Brother
    - Canon
    - EFI
    - Epson
    - HP
    - Lexmark
    - Ricoh
    - Sharp
    - Xerox

If your printer isn't included on the list, the manufacturer may have a compatible driver available on its Web site. If not, there may be a Gimp-Print driver pre-installed with Mac OS X 10.4.4, or you can check at the Gimp-Print Web site. An up to date list of Gimp-compatible printers is available here.
